The Cardinals reached a contract agreement with their first-round pick, CB Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie, on Friday. The deal is for six years, but other details were not disclosed.
Having missed only a couple of days of training camp, Rodgers-Cromartie figures to play a key role as a rookie, whether it’s as a nickel back or perhaps even a starting cornerback.
In PFW’s 2008 Draft Preview, draft analyst Nolan Nawrocki said Rodgers-Cromartie has an excellent size-speed ratio and legitimate return ability. Nawrocki also said Rodgers-Cromartie “could become an excellent cover corner with continued physical development.”
