Cardinals release RB Shipp

The Cardinals released RB Marcel Shipp on Monday, according to an Arizona Republic report. The eighth-year veteran had spent his entire career with the team and, along with S Adrian Wilson, had been with the Cardinals longer than any other players on the roster.
Arizona will save $1.75 million against the salary cap after the move.
Shipp rushed 605 times for 2,197 yards and 11 touchdowns during his tenure with the club. He also made 28 starts.
