Contract talks between Warner, Cardinals ongoing

The odds remain strong that the Cardinals will reach a new contract agreement with veteran QB Kurt Warner before the start of training camp.
Warner’s Chicago-based agent, Mark Bartelstein, told PFW late Monday morning that he met just the other day with the Cardinals. “Both sides would like to get something done within the next couple of weeks,” Bartelstein said. “Kurt is obviously a critical piece of the team.”
It has been widely assumed that the Cardinals are trying to strike a deal for two years, but Bartelstein said, “We’re looking at a couple of different options.”
