The Bucs may not be done tinkering with their backfield.
Free-agent RB Kevin Jones, who met with Steelers officials on Wednesday, will visit Tampa Bay next week, according to reports. Jones has been recovering from knee surgery this offseason and had four teams — the Dolphins, Packers, Steelers and Lions — in to watch him work out last month in Saline, Mich.
It’s unclear when Jones, who was released by the Lions in March, will be able to participate in full-contact drills. He played in 15 games last season, rushing for 581 yards on 153 carries and scored eight touchdowns.
Jones would join a crowded stable of backs should he sign with the Bucs. Earnest Graham is the presumed starter with veterans Warrick Dunn, Cadillac Williams and Michael Bennett serving as backups.
