Panthers DT Ian Scott, signed this offseason to compete in the defensive tackle rotation, hurt his knee in a morning practice Wednesday, according to reports.
The injury appeared to be serious. He is undergoing medical tests this afternoon.
Scott and Darwin Walker are the primary backups to starters Maake Kemoeatu and Damione Lewis, but Kemoeatu, Lewis and Walker all sat out practice Wednesday with minor injuries.
Carolina could be in the market for another veteran backup defensive tackle if Scott’s injury turns out to be severe.
