Panthers sign two draft picks

The Panthers signed two late-round draft picks Thursday, granting four-year deals to sixth-round DT Nick Hayden and seventh-round OG Mackenzy Bernadeau.
Both players received standard rookie contracts, adhering to league minimums. Hayden will get a signing bonus of close to $100,000 and Bernadeau’s is $37,000, according to reports.
In order to clear room for the rookies, Carolina released QB Taylor Tharp and P Dan Zeidman.
