Goodell finds no evidence of Vikings tampering with Favre

As it turns out, the reported conversations between Brett Favre and some Vikings coaches weren’t tampering after all.
Commissioner Roger Goodell announced today that he informed both the Packers and Vikings that after his review of Green Bay's allegation that Minnesota had tampered with Favre, no wrongdoing on either side was found.
In a letter to both teams, Goodell said that, although there were discussions between Favre and Vikings coaches Brad Childress and Darrell Bevell, “None of those conversations suggest that Favre was soliciting a job or that other teams were soliciting his services.”
It is against league policy for coaches to comment on or directly contact players on other teams, but the commissioner ruled in favor of the Vikings because of Favre's previous off-field relationship with both Childress and Bevell.
