Favre on way back to Mississippi

Brett Favre has probably left the Packers' building for the last time. Within the last hour, Favre boarded a plane back to his home in Hattiesburg, Miss., with speculation continuing to mount that a deal with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers could be in the works with Favre's blessings.
Meanwhile, Packers GM Ted Thompson canceled a press conference with the local media scheduled for 11:30 a.m. CT, immediately leading daily "Favregate" observers to believe he was too focused on trade talks with the Bucs, or perhaps some other long-shot trade partner.
Thompson is still supposed to speak to the media some time later this afternoon.
