With all kinds of wild rumors continuing to fly around in league circles regarding the next chapter in the ongoing Brett Favre saga, it looks like Favre will be flying to Green Bay before the day runs out, with the intention of reporting to the Packers’ training camp.

The Green Bay Press-Gazette is reporting that Favre was scheduled to take off in a plane belonging to Favre’s agent, Bus Cook, at 4:10 p.m. CDT today and land in Green Bay at 6:45 p.m. The Packers did not have practice today and will resume practicing at 8:45 a.m. Friday.

In the meantime, various national media outlets are reporting that NFL commissioner Roger Goodell plans to wait one more day before approving the official reinstatement request Favre filed Tuesday.

Favre and Cook met with Packers president Mark Murphy for eight hours Wednesday, but Murphy is keeping the subject matter at that meeting confidential.
