Don't look now, but Brett Favre is ready to creep back into the public limelight. After lying low since rumors started circulating 11 days ago that he wanted to return to pro football, Favre will be making his first public comments on the subject in an interview with Fox News' Greta Van Susteren scheduled to air at 10 p.m. ET Monday evening.

According to excerpts of the interview obtained by the Associated Press, Favre says he wants to play again, but doesn't feel welcome in Green Bay, which is why he has asked for his release from the team.

"That's not true," said Favre in regard to the Packers' claim that he asked for his release because he didn't want to play in Green Bay. "And I hope people are hearing this and saying, 'OK, that clears it up.' "
