The Bears made official a long-rumored transaction on Tuesday by terminating the contract of CB Ricky Manning Jr.
Manning Jr. primarily played in the nickel package in his two seasons with the Bears, making 11 starts in 31 games played. He had five interceptions, six passes defensed and 13 special-teams tackles for the Bears the past two seasons.
He entered the NFL in 2003 after being selected in the third round by the Carolina Panthers. He has 14 interceptions — and returned two for touchdowns.
