Bears sign first-rounder Williams

Sources on the scene at the Bears' training camp in Bourbonnais, Ill., report that the Bears have agreed to a five-year contract with their first-round draft pick, OT Chris Williams. An official announcement is expected in advance of the team's first practice later this afternoon.
Terms of Williams' deal were undisclosed, but it's been widely assumed that the No. 14 overall pick in the '08 draft will receive roughly $9 million in guaranteed money.
Williams' signing comes less than 24 hours after the team officially announced a contract extension for star MLB Brian Urlacher, who is represented by the same agent as Williams, Bill Johnson.
