The Eagles signed DT Trevor Laws last night, completing their final contract of their 10-man rookie class, but not all of them will suit up right away.
Laws injured his foot while working out on his own leading up to training camp. Head coach Andy Reid said the injury “has been bothering him a little bit that he sustained in conditioning when he was back home. He won’t go through the first couple of days here.”
Also injured is third-round DE Bryan Smith, whose hamstring locked up while running 110-yard sprints. Fourth-round CB Jack Ikegwuono is expected to spend most of his rookie season rehabbing a reconstructed right knee he suffered this year.
Laws’ contract is for four years. Specific terms of the deal were not disclosed.
