Giants RB Ahmad Bradshaw has finished serving a 30-day sentence at the Southwest Virginia Regional Jail related to an undisclosed violation of his probation, the New York Daily News is reporting.
Bradshaw’s imprisonment is among the lowlights of a strange Giants offseason. It’s not clear when the probation violation occurred but Bradshaw’s lawyer has said that it originally stemmed from something that occurred when Bradshaw was a juvenile.
The NFL is investigating the matter. Under the league’s personal conduct rules, Bradshaw could face punishment from the league. Although the incident is believed to have occurred before Bradshaw entered the NFL, when he was at Marshall, the probation violation might have happened after that.
Bradshaw came on strong toward the end of last season, registering a 151-yard rushing performance against the Bills in Week 16 as a rookie, and played a key role in the Giants’ run to the Super Bowl, leading the team in rushing yards during the postseason.
