Ernie Accorsi ran the drafts through 2006 and found nice first-day talents (Osi Umenyiora, Chris Snee and Mathias Kiwanuka) and unearthed lower-round gems (David Diehl, Barry Cofield, David Tyree, Gibril Wilson, Brandon Jacobs and Kevin Walter, who has done well with the Texans). But ultimately, his record is judged on some high-pick errors. The Chargers have gotten the better end of the Eli Manning deal to date, and misevaluations on William Joseph and Corey Webster weigh heavily. New GM Jerry Reese appears to have fared well in his first draft, with Aaron Ross plus two seventh-round sleepers.
