Sept. 16 is shaping up to be a key date in the life of Broncos WR Brandon Marshall. He’ll head to court that day for his DUI trial and the outcome of it is likely to determine whether or not he receives a suspension from NFL commissioner Roger Goodell.
Marshall was ticketed for an illegal lane change last month and also received citations for driving without a license and no proof of insurance, which doesn’t help his case, but looks minor compared to the other charges he’s faced recently. He has been arrested and cited for disorderly conduct, resisting arrest, domestic violence as well as drunken driving in the past few years.
If he’s found guilty of DUI, sources expect Goodell to move swiftly to suspend Marshall for at least one game, but likely more.
