The Texans reached an agreement on a four-year deal with LB Xavier Adibi late Tuesday night. The fourth-round pick out of Virginia Tech is expected to sign the deal Wednesday, ensuring he will report to training camp on time.
He is the third Texans draft pick to sign a contract this summer.
According to PFW draft analyst Nolan Nawrocki in Pro Football Weekly's 2008 Draft Preview, Adibi is a "very lanky, long-limbed, underpowered weak-side 'backer who is most effective when he is covered up and free to run to the ball." Nawrocki also says that Adibi "has starter potential."
