Browns starting QB Derek Anderson suffered an apparent concussion early in the second quarter of his team’s 37-34 loss to the Giants on Monday night. The injury occurred when Giants DE Osi Umenyiora sacked Anderson, who then walked off the field to the locker room.
Two of Anderson’s teammates also were hurt. S Brodney Pool was being examined for a possible concussion, and KR Joshua Cribbs injured his left ankle.
Several Giants suffered injuries, too. Backup QB Anthony Wright left the game in the second quarter with an apparent back injury after a hit by Michael Adams. Giants reserve RB Kay-Jay Harris hurt an ankle, and WR Brandon London injured his shoulder.
