Ex-Bengals WR Henry has assault charge dropped

A misdemeanor assault charge against ex-Bengals WR Chris Henry was dropped on Monday.
Henry was scheduled to be retried by Cincinnati prosecutor on the assault charge after the first trial ended in a hung jury, but the charge was dismissed this morning after Hamilton County Municipal Courth Judge Richard Bernat ruled against the prosecution on several motions, The Cincinnati Enquirer reported Monday.
Henry was released by the Bengals in April after he was arrested for allegedly throwing a beer bottle through a car window and punching an 18-year-old man in the face.
Henry was suspended by the NFL in June for violating the NFL's personal conduct policy.
