QB Troy Smith will start the Ravens' Aug. 16 game vs. Minnesota, head coach John Harbaugh said Thursday night.

Smith completed 5-of-12 passes for 74 yards in Baltimore's 16-15 win at New England on Thursday in relief of Kyle Boller. Boller completed 11-of-15 passes for 102 yards but threw an interception and lost a fumble. Smith did not commit a turnover.

“There are a few plays I wish I could take back, and I am glad it is preseason," Boller told Baltimore reporters. "I felt very comfortable out there today. The offensive line did an amazing job of blocking and letting me step up my throws. Just like I said, those two plays, you just have to eliminate the turnovers."

Rookie QB Joe Flacco, the Ravens' first-round pick, didn't complete any of his three pass attempts.
