The Buccaneers traded DE Marques Douglas to the Ravens for a late-round draft pick in 2009 and a conditional pick in ’10, pending a physical Douglas will undergo Wednesday, according to reports.
Douglas spent just a few months in Tampa after he signed a four-year deal with the team in March. This will be his third stint with the Ravens, who signed him as an undrafted free agent in 1999, although he never played a game that season. He returned again in ’01 after playing one season with the Saints.
Douglas had a career-high 5½ sacks with Baltimore in ’04, but he is known as a run-stuffing defensive end. He led the league in tackles behind the line of scrimmage by a defensive lineman last season with the 49ers, with whom he played the past three seasons.
