Patriots RB Kevin Faulk pleaded no content to possession of marijuana yesterday in his home state of Louisiana, according to the television station KATC. Faulk was cited for possessing four hand-rolled cigars filled with marijuana when attending a Lil Wayne concert in Lafayette on Feb. 22.
According to the station, Faulk will have a five-month jail term suspended and will be put on one year's probation. He will pay a $300 fine, a $250 drug test fee and court costs. Additionally, he must perform 40 hours of community service, talking to students about the dangers of drugs.
It's unlikely Faulk faces disciplinary action from the league, unless he has failed previous drug tests. The NFL does not disclose such information.
