Still on roster during '07 season*: 19
Starters*: 11
Pro Bowlers: 4
A 2003 draft featuring a duo of Pro Bowlers will go down as one of the best drafts in team history. The next two years were great as well, as each boasted its own Pro Bowl player and a host of solid contributors. The past two years have been disappointments. Overall, the Patriots have done a nice job in the draft, but they wouldn’t be the juggernaut they are without equal success in free agency.
* — See Three- and five-year draft history for criteria in determining this number.
