Commissioner Roger Goodell treated the Bills to a piece of good news upon his arrival at training camp Monday, stating that RB Marshawn Lynch will not by suspended for his involvement in an alleged hit-and-run incident. Lynch has pleaded guilty to failure to exercise due care toward a pedestrian after hitting a female with his Porche SUV on May 31, and faced the possibility of sanctions under the league’s personal conduct policy.
The centerpiece of a young offense, the second-year back is coming off a rookie season in which he rushed for 1,115 yards and seven touchdowns in 13 games. He added 18 receptions for 184 yards.
The Bills had previously seen DE Anthony Hargrove be suspended for the entire season for repeated violations of the league’s substance abuse policy.
