This season the Fantasy Doctor will answer a few of our readers' fantasy questions on an almost daily basis, Monday through Friday. Send your questions to the Doc at the address above.

Doc,
I am in need of a way to deal with heart-palpitating pre-draft panic. My league selects draft order just a few minutes before the draft begins. Any advice on how to prepare for a pick that could come anywhere in the draft?

— Brian, Red Lion, Penn.

Well, Brian, it's certainly not enviable to have a draft where you don't know your pick ahead of time, but it's also not something you should fret too much over. The only thing you can do is map out the first round or two with what players you'd select in each draft slot. For example, say you peg Joseph Addai to go fourth overall, and then you draw the fourth pick and find that he was already taken. Well, that means someone you thought would go in the top three is still on the board, so that player becomes your choice at No. 4. See, it's not so difficult. Just give yourself a plan for the first couple of rounds and you should be fine regardless of where you draft.

In my league you can keep three players and they count as your 2nd, 3rd and 4th round draft picks. I am planning to keep Marion Barber and Tony Romo, but I don't know if I should keep Maurice Jones-Drew. Should I keep him or take someone else in the 4th round?

— Nick

This is a pretty easy one, Nick: Keep him. I've never been a huge M.J.D. fan myself, but he's worth much more than a fourth-round pick. He's going to go in the second round of most drafts, so I'm guessing he'll be better than whatever player you'd be drafting in the fourth. Even though he's not going to get a ton of carries, he's good for a bunch of TDs and a decent amount of yards each year. Stick with your three players and you should be in nice shape entering this season.
