BEST BETS

HA: OAK

Honestly, when you have to consider the points, there's not a pick I love here, but the Raiders are a hot team and the Bengals haven't showed up in weeks. Considering the way Josh Jacobs is running the ball right now, Gruden's commitment to it and the Bengals having no apparent interest in defending the run, the Raiders giving 10 1/2 Sunday feels about as safe as it gets.

AA: KC

The Chiefs' grip on the AFC West is suddenly tenuous, making me hesitant to declare these two teams heading in opposite directions this season. And perhaps I have Philip Rivers and the Bolts' failures late last week on Thursday Night Football stuck in my head. Even so, it's fair to say he and Pat Mahomes are headed in opposite directions. Ultimately, I trust Mahomes and Andy Reid to have the Chiefs ready to bounce back in a Mexico City fiesta more than I trust Rivers, Anthony Lynn and their disjointed offense.
