The NFL handed down three suspensions on Friday.
New York Jets tight end Chris Herndon was suspended for four games for violating the league's substance abuse policy. Herndon, 23, pleaded guilty in January to a DWI, which happened in June of 2018.
Herndon will be allowed to participate in training camp and preseason practices and games. He will be eligible to return to the Jets active roster on Oct. 7.
Oakland Raiders offensive guard Richie Incognito was suspended two games for violating the personal conduct policy. The suspension stems from an arrest at a funeral home in 2018. He pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor count of disorderly conduct in April.
Malik McDowell, who was released by the Seahawks this offseason and has not been signed, was suspended two games for violating the personal conduct policy. McDowell was arrested last month after an altercation with law enforcement.
