Chicago Bears report to training camp July 19

Bears first practice at Olivet Nazarene scheduled for July 20

Because the Bears are playing in the preseason-opening Hall of Fame game on Aug. 2, they’ll begin training camp a week early this year.

Players are due to report on July 19, with the first practice scheduled for July 20 at Olivet Nazarene University in Bourbonnais. Specific practice dates and times are not yet available.

The Bears are two weeks into their offseason program under new head coach Matt Nagy, and because of the coaching change, they’re allowed an extra veteran minicamp, which will be held at Halas Hall next Tuesday through Thursday and is technically voluntary.

Two weeks after this year’s draft (April 26-28), the Bears will conduct a rookie minicamp May 11-13 at Halas Hall. Organized team activities with on-field practices will run for three weeks following the rookie minicamp.

The Bears’ offseason program concludes with a mandatory minicamp June 5-7.
