The Jaguars released DBs Aaron Ross and Dawan Landry on Friday, the team announced.

Ross signed with Jacksonville last offseason and played in 14 games in 2012 (nine starts). He had 46 tackles and three passes defensed. Ross spent the first five seasons of his career with the Giants.

Landry has started every game in the past four seasons — the last two coming with the Jaguars. He had 100 tackles last season with two passes defensed and one interception.

The cuts will save the Jaguars $6.2 million in cap space.
