Utah NT Star Lotulelei will not work out at the NFL Scouting Combine because of a heart condition that requires more testing, ESPN’s Chris Mortensen first reported.
The echocardiogram revealed that Lotulelei has an “abnormally low Ejection Fraction,” per the report, which means the left ventricle is not pumping as efficiently as it should. His agent, Bruce Tollner, confirmed to multiple media outlets that Lotulelei will visit a specialist this week.
Lotulelei will still go through team interviews in Indianapolis and does plan to work out at Utah’s Pro Day on March 20.
PFW ranked Lotulelei as the top nose tackle in the draft and a projected top-15 pick.
