QB Matt Barkley will not throw at this week’s NFL Scouting Combine in Indianapolis, ESPN’s Adam Schefter first reported.
The former USC signalcaller had a shoulder injury during his senior season and was unable to play in the Sun Bowl or Senior Bowl. He may still run and jump for NFL teams at the Combine, per the report.
Barkley has been cleared to throw at USC’s Pro Day on March 27. In his collegiate career, Barkley threw 116 touchdowns and 48 interceptions. He’s expected to be one of, if not the top quarterback taken in April’s draft.
