Report: Eagles peg Davis as defensive coordinator

Former Browns LB coach Billy Davis will be the Eagles new defensive coordinator, according to Geoff Mosher of Comcast SportsNet Philadelphia.

Davis spent the past two seasons with the Browns. Prior to coaching in Cleveland, David was the Cardinals’ defensive coordinator from 2009-10.

From 2007-08, Davis coached Arizona’s linebackers. and from 2005-06, he was the 49ers’ defensive coordinator. Davis has also spent time on the defensive coaching staffs of the Giants, Falcons, Packers, Panthers and Steelers.
