The Browns released DE Frostee Rucker on Tuesday, the team announced.
Rucker, 29, started every game in 2012 for the first time in his career. He had 48 tackles, four sacks, one pass defensed and one forced fumble in his first season as a Brown.
From 2006-11, Rucker played for the Bengals. He had 44 tackles and four sacks in 2011.
According to Adam Caplan of The Sideline View, Rucker would have been guaranteed $2 million of his 2013 base salary if he remained on the Browns’ roster on Wednesday.
