The Seahawks hired Matt Thomas as the team’s vice president of football administration on Friday.
Thomas replaces John Idzik, who was named the general manager of the Jets last week.
Thomas spent the past three seasons with the Browns in the same capacity. He was with the Dolphins from 1998-2009.
"Matt is a well-respected salary cap expert and was recommended by many top-ranking NFL executives," said GM John Schneider. "I am excited to welcome him to our football family."
