The 49ers waived PK Billy Cundiff, and will go with David Akers for the rest of their playoff run.

Prior to the postseason, the Niners signed Cundiff, though he was inactive for last week’s divisional- round win over the Packers. Cundiff hit 7-of-12 field goals with the Redskins for five games to start the 2012 season.

Akers, who shared PFW’s Golden Toe Award in 2011, made 29-of-42 field-goal attempts this season. He hit a 36-yard field goal in last week’s win over the Packers.
