The Jaguars hired former Seahawks defensive coordinator Gus Bradley as head coach, Fox Sports’ Jay Glazer and ESPN’s Adam Schefter first reported.

Bradley interviewed with the Jaguars on Wednesday, and reportedly would have been the Eagles’ choice as head coach if Chip Kelly didn’t decide to take the Philadelphia job.

For the past four seasons, Bradley has been the defensive coordinator for Seattle. That unit was fourth in the league in total defense in 2012. Prior to joining the Seahawks, Bradley was the Buccaneers’ linebackers coach for two seasons and defensive quality control coach for one.

Bradley replaces Mike Mularkey, who was fired last week, two days after Shahid Khan hired David Caldwell as the team’s new GM. Bradley inherits a team that was 2-14 in 2012 and owns the No. 2 pick in April’s draft.
