The Browns are close to a deal with Oregon coach Chip Kelly to be Cleveland’s new head coach, according to Ian Rapoport of NFL.com.

Kelly met with new Browns owner Jimmy Haslam and CEO Joe Banner in Arizona on Friday. On Thursday evening, Kelly coached the Ducks to a Fiesta Bowl victory. He has gone 46-7 as Oregon’s coach.

Kelly was expected to interview with the Eagles and Bills as well. The Browns, who fired Pat Shurmur following the season, have reportedly had Kelly as their top choice.
