Patriots TE Rob Gronkowski is likely to play in the club's regular-season finale Sunday vs. Miami, according to Tom Curran of Comcast SportsNet New England.
Curran reported on his Twitter feed that Gronkowski is expected to have "at least a limited role" in Week 17.
Gronkowski has missed the last five games with a forearm injury. The Pro Bowl tight end has hauled in 53 passes for 748 yards and 10 TDs in just 10 starts.
The Patriots can secure a first-round bye with a win vs. Miami and either a Denver or Houston loss. If the Broncos and Texans both lose, the Patriots will clinch the No. 1 seed in the AFC.
