NFL commissioner Roger Goodell said the league is considering expanding the playoffs.

After a league meeting held in Texas, Goodell spoke to reporters and mentioned the possibility.

“Right now we’re with 12 teams obviously. We’ll look at probably 14 or 16 teams,” Goodell said, according to NFL.com.

The competition committee has apparently considered expansion in the past and would take a look at making it happen in the future.
