Bills RB Fred Jackson will see his season end prematurely for the second year in a row.

Head coach Chan Gailey said on WGR-AM in Buffalo that Jackson will miss at least 2-3 weeks with a knee injury suffered in Sunday’s loss to the Rams. Jackson's agent said on Twitter that it is a grade-2 MCL sprain.

During his Monday afternoon press conference, Gailey said that Jackson is out for the rest of the year and will likely go to injured reserve.

Jackson injured his knee late in the fourth quarter. He has already missed three games this season — two with a knee injury and one with a concussion, and suffered a season-ending leg injury in Week 11 last season. Jackson had nine carries for 14 yards and five catches for 16 yards prior to the injury. He has 437 rushing yards and 217 receiving yards this season.

C.J. Spiller, who had seven carries on Sunday, will get the majority of the work, and Tashard Choice will be his backup. The Bills play the Seahawks in Toronto in Week 15.
