The Chiefs will play Sunday's game vs. the Panthers as scheduled, the team announced Saturday afternoon.
“After discussions between the league office, head coach Romeo Crennel and Chiefs team captains, the Chiefs advised the NFL that it will play tomorrow’s game vs. the Carolina Panthers at its originally scheduled time," the team said in a statement.
Sunday's game is slated to kick off at 1 p.m. Eastern at Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City.

Acccording to published reports, Kansas City police say Belcher, after killing a woman said to be his girlfriend, took his own life in an Arrowhead Stadium parking lot.
