The Raiders announced Friday that they have suspended MLB Rolando McClain for conduct detrimental to the team for two games. The suspension will end the morning of Dec. 10.

It was thought on Wednesday that the Raiders had released McClain, who posted on his Facebook page that he was no longer a Raider.

“There's going to be consequences to his actions and it's a team-related issue,” head coach Dennis Allen told reporters Thursday. “I don't really want to get into the details of it. We asked him not to come to practice today.”

McClain, the eighth overall pick in the 2010 draft, has 60 tackles, one sack and one forced fumble in all 11 games and nine starts this season. Earlier this month, misdemeanor assault and firearms charges against McClain were dropped. He was arrested for allegedly holding a gun beside a man’s head.

Regarding a potential suspension, Allen said Thursday, “This is something that we've got to make a decision as an organization, and we're going to make sure that we make the right decision.”
