The Giants signed RBs Kregg Lumpkin and Ryan Torain on Tuesday. They will fill RB Andre Brown’s void on the roster.

Brown broke his fibula in Sunday night’s win over the Packers and will be placed on the short-term injured reserve list.

Lumpkin played in all 16 games last season for the Buccaneers and had 31 carries for 105 yards and 41 catches for 291 yards. He spent time with the Seahawks earlier this season but did not play in a game.

Torain played in eight games with four starts for the Redskins last season and had 200 rushing yards and one touchdown. In 2010, he rushed for 742 yards and four scores in 10 games.

Lumpkin and Torain join rookie David Wilson as the Giants' backup running backs to Ahmad Bradshaw.
