The Eagles will place WR DeSean Jackson on injured reserve with fractured ribs, head coach Andy Reid announced Tuesday.

Jackson suffered the injury in Monday night’s loss to the Panthers. This season, the fifth-year pro had 45 catches for 700 yards and two touchdowns, starting all 11 games. He led the Eagles in receptions and receiving yards.

The Eagles signed Jackson to a five-year, $47 million contract in March.

Reid also said that OLT Jason Peters will not be activated and will not play this year. Peters tore his Achilles tendon twice this past offseason.
