Cardinals starting C Lyle Sendlein will miss the rest of the season with a knee injury, the team confirmed Monday.
According to PFW correspondent Kent Somers of the Arizona Republic, Sendlein suffered a torn MCL during the Cardinals’ first possession of the Week 12 game against the Rams on Sunday. He still played the entire game.
Sendlein has started all 11 games this season and has not missed a start since 2007. He has played in 89 career games with 77 starts. Fourth-year pro Rich Ohrnberger is expected to take Sendlein’s place.
The Cardinals placed Sendlein on I.R. on Tuesday and signed C Scott Wedige, a rookie who was most recently with the Bengals.
