Buccaneers CB Eric Wright will be suspended for the next four games, head coach Greg Schiano announced Monday.
Wright lost his appeal for violating the league’s performance-enhancing drug policy. In a written statement, Wright said he used Adderall in July for “health issues I was experiencing. I am extremely disappointed that the suspension was upheld at my appeal”
Wright signed a five-year, $37.5 million deal with the Bucs in March. In 10 games this season, Wright has 39 tackles, seven passes defensed and one interception, which he returned 60 yards for a touchdown. Wright missed Sunday’s game against the Falcons because of an Achilles injury. Rookie CB Leonard Johnson started in his place.
