Seahawks CBs Richard Sherman and Brandon Browner are facing four-game suspensions for violating the league’s policy on performance-enhancing drugs, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.
USA Today’s Mike Garafalo is reporting that the positive test came from the use of Adderall.
The second-year corners start in one of the league’s best secondary units. Browner has 38 tackles, six passes defensed three interceptions and two forced fumbles this season. Sherman has 40 tackles, 15 passes defensed, four interceptions and three forced fumbles.
According to Pro Football Talk, Browner and Sherman will play until the appeal is resolved, and there is no timetable yet. Seattle lost to Miami on Sunday and, at 6-5, is in the mix for an NFC wild-card spot.
