Former Dolphins WR Jabar Gaffney has been suspended two games by the NFL, according to a report from Ben Volin of the Palm Beach Post.
Gaffney was waived by the Dolphins on Tuesday and cleared waivers. He was suspended Thursday, per Volin.
Pro Football Talk reported Saturday that Gaffney’s suspension stems from a 2010 incident in which Gaffney was detained for resisting arrest without violence in Miami. The report says the league first learned of the incident following Gaffney’s recent completion a pre-trial diversion program.
Gaffney, 31, is in his 11th NFL season.
