The Jaguars placed QB Blaine Gabbert and WR Laurent Robinson on injured reserve, the team announced Wednesday.
Gabbert left Sunday’s game with a left shoulder injury, but a right forearm injury is what is sending him to I.R., according to Ryan O’Halloran of the Florida Times-Union.
The second-year QB had completed 58.3 percent of his passes for 1,662 yards, nine touchdowns and six interceptions this season for the 1-9 Jaguars. Chad Henne replaced Gabbert on Sunday against the Texans. Henne completed 16-of-33 passes for 354 yards and four touchdowns in the loss.
Henne signed with the Jaguars this past offseason after four seasons with the Dolphins. He has 31 career starts and will be the starter the rest of the season.
Robinson’s season is over because of a concussion. The sixth-year veteran signed with the Jaguars this past offseason after scoring 11 touchdowns for the Cowboys in 2011. In seven games and four starts, he had 24 catches for 252 yarsd and zero touchdowns.
To replace Gabbert and Robinson on the active roster, the Jaguars signed QB Jordan Palmer and WR Carlton Mitchell. Palmer spent the past three seasons with the Bengals, and Mitchell played for the Browns the past two seasons.
