The NFL fined the Steelers $35,000 and WR Emmanuel Sanders $15,000 for faking an injury against the Bengals, ESPN’s Adam Schefter first reported.
In a 24-17 win on Oct. 21, Sanders appeared to fake an injury in the fourth quarter and left the game, only to return two plays later.
Sanders confirmed to reporters more than a week ago that he was to meet with the league office regarding the incident, but didn’t have any more details.
Sanders, a third-year wideout, has 24 catches for 302 yards and one touchdown this season.
